 About Our Subdivision

Southpointe Square is a subdivision of one hundred ninety seven (197) homes and available building lots located in Monroe Charter Township, Monroe County, Michigan.  The subdivision's two entrances are on South Telegraph Road and Rutherford Blvd.  Phase one was started in 1999, phase two in 2001, phase three in 2003, and phase four in 2005. The subdivision offers sidewalks and street lighting.  

There is a home owners association and limited deed restrictions to maintain home values. There is a current annual homeowners dues effective 2020 of seventy dollars ($70.00) to cover the costs to maintaining common areas within the subdivision as required by state law.

Most homes are on .25 to .35 acres and vary from 1,700 square feet to 3,200 square feet in size.  Southpointe is served by municipal sewer, water, and three cable TV providers.  It has a very excellent mix of home owners from families with newborns to empty nester retirees. The subdivision is located ten (10) minutes from I-75 and twenty (20) minutes from US-23 expressways.

We do our very best to keep our residents well informed on HOA events, things going on in the subdivision and we will also put out an EMAIL BLAST NEWS LETTER.

 

HOA Dues - HOA dues / billing statements are sent out approx 1 month prior to their due date of July 1 of every year.  HOA dues are currently $70 annually.  Payments can be made via Cash, Check or for $3 additional - Venmo.  Contact any board member for questions regarding your dues or checkout the Southpointe Facebook page.

 

  • Reminder - If you are considering adding a shed, pool, fence, deck, solar, home generator, etc, please contact Mike Calabrese (Secretary) to obtain an "Architectural Approval Form". This is a very simple form which complies to our By-Laws and follows the Township codes.

Stevens Disposal - Stevens Disposal Trash Service is now the EXCLUSIVE PROVIDER of Southpoint Subdivision and we have a three year agreement for them to provide trash pickup services at a locked in rate.  If you currently have any other service, you will need to switch to Stevens Disposal as soon as possible to ensure that we have 100% utilizing Stevens Disposal. Other trash collections services are restricted from entering SPHOA roadways as of November 1, 2022.

 Contact Stevens Disposal at (734) 279-2611 to add service.

Sidwalk Repairs - It is each individual homeowners RESPONSIBILITY to ensure that sidewalks that fall within each homeowners property line are not a hazard to the public.  REPAIR and/or REPLACE uneven, cracked, damaged sidewalks, you as the homeowner, can be held responsible / liable for any injuries or damage as a result of the sidwalk hazard.  The only exception is sidewalks that have a utility / manhole on that peice of sidewalk, that is the responsibility of the township, but you as the homeowner should call if it is a hazard.
